How long is the program?

HIHP offers Full-time and Part-time schedules to suit students’ needs, including evenings and weekends with the flexibility of year round start dates.  Students can choose to take 5.25 months for Full-time and 12 months for Part-time enrollment. Find out more about the training schedule.

How much is the program tuition?

The total fee for the PSW program $5,995 CAD; covering tuition, books and compulsory fees like the professional examination, registration and CPR/First Aid certification. See the breakdown HERE.

How much do PSWs make?

The salary for PSWs depends on the employer and setting. It ranges from approximately $18 per hour to approximately $26 per hour. With the increasing demand for PSWs, average hourly pay will continue to rise. Read more about the latest news from the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care here.

 

What does HIHP do to help students get jobs?

Upon graduation, HIHP students are offered support with future employment opportunities including assistance with resumes, recommendations to prospective employers, referrals and references, follow ups and information job postings or fairs. Find out more about our student resources.

 

Is there financial aid available to students?
